Serrano Family Reunion 2012 Part 1

In August, Claudia's family had a reunion in Ithaca, New York. All 15 remaining siblings were together for the first time in 32 years. The main event was a gathering to celebrate Sister Ines' 50 years of service as a Catholic Nun. Some of the next two generations were also present for this momentous occasion. Thanks Brenda for the wonderful portraits.

Dryden Lake with Melissa in Early August

We had a really nice walk with Melissa at Dryden Lake. Here are a few pictures we took that day.

Yellowstone NP 2012

We were in the Yellowstone area for only about 10 weeks this year. Here are a few highlights from 2012.

We enjoyed watching these badgers for a while, as they kept ducking in and out of the ground. There were 5 in total.

These three photos of a moose in the water were taken at Floating Island Lake.

It's always amazing to see bears in the wild. This sow and her two cubs were pretty close to the road, so we took these photos from inside the car. Most of the shots are of the cubs.

The animal we see every time in the park is the Bison. Here the new calves are playing in the creek.

A pronghorn with two babies, just born.

The babies trying out their legs, running in circles around the mom. They are able to run within hours of being born.
