Upper and Lower Mesa Falls, ID

On our way to Idaho Falls, Idaho last Monday to stock up on supplies, we took a side trip on the Mesa Falls Byway. The following are photos we took at the falls. There is a nice path that leads right up to the Upper Falls. The Lower Falls can only be seen at a distance. With all the winter snow melt, all the rivers are very full this year.

Spring 2008 in West Yellowstone

Here are a few shots we took this past week around town. As you can see, there's still plenty of snow left from the winter, and it snowed all day Friday. It sure is different from the first part of May last year.

We drove the Zion-Mount Camel road today which leads to the east entrance of the park.The rock formations are very different on the west side of the tunnel.

This rock looks like rippled sand.

The following photos are from the Canyon Overlook trail. It starts at the east side of the tunnel and the view at the top is of the west side entrance.

Zion National Park Part 3 of 5

Today we hiked the Watchman trail. 2.7 miles/4.3 km and a climb of 368 ft./112 m.

Magnificent beauty at every turn.
