July In and Around West Yellowstone

Our activities this July have been mostly social. We are fortunate to have some good friends, working and volunteering nearby, to share some of the happenings in the area with.

These potted flowers rest on our picnic table. The growing season is short here, so we enjoy them while we can.

The first event here in July is Independence Day. There is nothing like a small town parade.

Our boss, Randall, riding in our work golf cart all decorated for the parade.

Everyone is invited to join in, whether a local business or a visitor.

The bicycle portion of the parade.

After the parade there was music in the town park. A great time with Tom and Nancy.

An evening later in the month, we all enjoyed the dinner theater at Macks Inn. The play was The Phantom of the Grand Ole Opry. A wonderful meal and many laughs with John & Betsy and Tom & Nancy.

Saw these beautiful butterflies on the mud on one of our excursions.

Pig roast at the 320 Ranch with Betty, Tom, Nancy, John & Betsy.

Running of the horses at the 320 Ranch.

The horses headed for the pasture on the other side of the highway.

Later in the month the Air National Guard Band of the Northwest gave a concert in the park. Wonderful!

Children on the swings behind the bandstand.

It's never too cold for ice cream.

A black bear we saw along Highway 191.
